Identity Theft and Deceit

It is now fairly common for professional “Con Men” or swindlers to commit identity theft, pretending to be someone else with fraudulent intentions. Having obtained your personal information, they can easily access your bank accounts and withdraw large sums of money

A high proportion of fraudulent activities are undertaken by those closest to us, such as relatives, friends or co-workers. Sharing your passwords with others is comparable to handing them your blank checkbook, with all the checks signed! Remember, easily predictable passwords increases the risk of having them identified.

Eavesdropping:

When you are registering, make sure no one is watching
Do not enter Online Banking in public places such as Internet cafés, hotel or airport business centers. If you must do so, change your passwords as soon as possible on a safe computer
